French President Emmanuel Macron on Sunday said France was taking steps to secure its energy supplies amid heightened geopolitical tensions and disruptions in global energy markets.
“These same countries have reduced their consumption to adapt. So we need to be very vigilant and we don’t want to miss anything. So we replenished our gas stocks. We are securing our supplies. For example, in diesel we consume approximately 600,000 tonnes per day, half of which we import. Well, we will secure that," Macron said.
