Symptoms of the Zika virus appear 3 to 12 days after the bite, according to the Pasteur Institute, " but during this time, the person can infect other mosquitoes if they are bitten again. " Most infected people do not show any symptoms, but if they do, they include fever, headache, fatigue, muscle aches, and a rash.
