TARN: 7 OUTBREAKS

On 8 December 2016, an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza was identified in the Tarn in the commune of Monesti?s in a 1,000 duck farm.
On 8 December 2016, an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza was identified in the Tarn in the commune of Monesti?s in a farm of 7,000 chickens.
On 7 December 2016, an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza was identified in the Tarn in the commune of Monesti?s in a mixed breeding of 2,500 ducks and 12,400 chickens.

On 2 December 2016, outbreaks in epidemiological links with the Tarn (1 December) outbreak were detected in the communes of:

LOT-ET-GARONNE: 4 OUTBREAKS

From 2 to 8 December 2016, four new outbreaks were detected in the commune of Monbahus, corresponding to approximately 9450 ducks.

On December 2, 2016, a case was confirmed on a gull in the commune of Evian.


Internationally

Since the last situation on 5 December 2016, new outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) subtype H5N8 have been reported in Europe.

The total number of outbreaks and cases reported continues to increase and is now 406:
