On 8 December 2016, an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza was identified in the Tarn in the commune of Monesti?s in a 1,000 duck farm.
On 8 December 2016, an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza was identified in the Tarn in the commune of Monesti?s in a farm of 7,000 chickens.
On 7 December 2016, an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza was identified in the Tarn in the commune of Monesti?s in a mixed breeding of 2,500 ducks and 12,400 chickens.
On 7 December 2016, an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza was identified in the Tarn in the commune of Mouzieys-Panens in a mixed breeding of 135 poultry.

LOT-ET-GARONNE: 4 OUTBREAKS
From 2 to 8 December 2016, four new outbreaks were detected in the commune of Monbahus, corresponding to approximately 9450 ducks.

An epidemiologically linked outbreak with the Tarn household was detected on 2 December 2016 (1 December) in a 1,000-canard farm located in the municipality of Ibos.
PYR?N?ES-ATLANTIQUES: 1 OUTBREAK
On 9 December an outbreak was detected at Ger in a 950 duck farm.
AVEYRON: 1 OUTBREAK
On 10 December, an outbreak was detected in Tayrac in a multi-species low court.

On 26 November last, a first H5N8 case was confirmed in Marck (Pas-de-Calais) on 20 wild ducks used as callers for hunting waterfowl.

On December 2, 2016, a case was confirmed on a gull in the commune of Evian.

Since the last situation on 5 December 2016, new outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) subtype H5N8 have been reported in Europe.
The total number of outbreaks and cases reported continues to increase and is now 406:
Including 245 in the wild avifauna,
155 in breeding,
And 6 within the captive avifauna.
