Especially as this Thursday, the Chamber announced that three new gavage rooms of Monbahus are also impacted by the H5N8 virus. As a result, 6,000 ducks will be slaughtered by Thursday evening. "The farms in the 24 communes of the surveillance and protection zones, located around the commune, are the ones producing the most fatty ducks," says Tiffany Massalve, agricultural adviser to the Chamber. The court says it can compensate some of the affected breeders from Tuesday. Two days ago, the territory had passed into high risk, leading to the total confinement of the yards.
