Flying Food Group Recalls Additional Sandwiches, Parfaits, Wraps, Plates, Salads - Listeria

July 19, 2011-Flying Food Group, LLC, a Lawrenceville, Ga., establishment, is recalling approximately 204 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken wraps and plates that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture?s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.

The following products are subject to recall:
8.4-ounce packages of ?STARBUCKS CHIPOTLE CHICKEN WRAPS Bistro Box?
6.3-ounce packages of ?STARBUCKS CHICKEN & HUMMUS Bistro Box?

The products have an ?Enjoy by 071511? date on the bottom left corner of the package and bear the establishment number ?P-34373? inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products were produced on July 13, 2011, and distributed to coffee shops in Georgia and Alabama...

July 26, 2011- Flying Food Group, LLC, a Lawrenceville, Ga., establishment, is expanding its recall of ready-to-eat chicken, turkey, beef and pork products by an additional 6,901 pounds...The products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

The following products are subject to the expanded recall:
8.4-ounce packages of "STARBUCKS CHIPOTLE CHICKEN WRAPS Bistro Box" that have an "Enjoy by" dates of 7/16-7/26 stamped on the package.

7.88-ounce packages of "RaceTrac CHICKEN CAESAR WRAP" that have a "Sell thru" dates of 7/17-7/28 stamped on the package.
9.8-ounce packages of "RaceTrac COBB SALAD" that have a "Sell thru" dates of 7/17-7/28 stamped on the package.
6.4-ounce trays of "F&L CAFE Salad, Chicken Caesar Salad" that have a "Best Before" dates of 7/23-8/3 stamped on the package.
6.9-ounce trays of "F&L CAFE Salad, Chef Salad" dates of 7/23-8/3 stamped on the package.
The products above were distributed to retail outlets in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

July 27, 2011 - Flying Food Group?s Lawrenceville, GA facility is recalling all USDA and FDA regulated products (sandwiches, parfaits, wraps, plates, and salads) because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem...

This recall is an expansion of one initiated on July 19th at USDA?s request. The expanded recall includes products made for Core-mark Atlanta Division, Race Trac, and Starbucks. Core-mark Atlanta Division products were distributed to retail outlets in Alabama, Georgia and Florida. Starbucks products were only distributed to retail outlets in Alabama and Georgia. Race Trac products were distributed to retail outlets in Georgia only.

Again, no illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

The potential for contamination was noted after sampling and testing conducted by the Georgia Department of Agriculture revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes in one of the products.

The production of all products at the Lawrenceville, GA facility has been voluntarily suspended pending a full investigation into the source of the problem.
