FluTrackers H1N1 Fatalities Database

FluTrackers has developed a database and is tracking information about individuals that died from H1N1 around the world.

Link: http://ft100.dabbledb.com/publish/flutrackersdatabaseforindividualah1n1cases

This is a publicly available data set and is available for viewing or downloading in various file formats.

Note July 21, 2009: This database is incomplete but it is currently being populated with data by various FluTrackers members. The database is most accurate for the western hemisphere, although some countries are notably missing such as Canada. More cases from other countries will be added as we get more volunteers to enter the data.

Well done!!! Thank all of you for all the work you put into it. :tiphat:

My one small problem is the FluTrackers links don't work. Is that a glitch with my computer or aren't they supposed to be active?

It is not a problem with your computer, the url links are embedded as text. You have to copy and paste the link into a web browser address bar to access the page. We are trying to make all of the data available first and then go back and fix some of the details as clickable web links.

Re: FluTrackers Database of World-wide H1N1 Fatalities

Is there somwere in the forum were there is a FT?s daily updated list of all countries in the world with respective H1N1 deaths? (Like the dayly US H1N1 death list)
Just a plain/simple list with only the names of the countries and how many deaths at each country?
And at this list also "Todays worldwide H1N1 deaths"?
And at this list also " worldwide H1N1 deaths all together" (from the beginning of the pandemic to dd.)?

Theforeigner,

There is a daily updated list of all countries world-wide with cases and fatalities, see here:

http://ecdc.europa.eu/

click at latest opdates on the latest date with ECDC situation report on H1N1.

Thanks for the link FluBossie, but what I am looking for is the same kind of list, but with the number of deaths registrated by this forum Flutrackers.com reseachers. All health authorities lists are way behind the actual numbers of H1N1 deaths, so they are not representative, not showing the REAL picture of the H1N1 development (how sad is that)

Re: FluTrackers Database of World-wide H1N1 Fatalities

foreigner, a list like you are describing can be compiled quickly and easily off of the database and posted here on the forum. however, our database listings, particularly on world-wide fatalities, is not complete. This is why we really need VOLUNTEERS who will help with our project. The global data set is much too large for the small number of people we currently have working on the db listings.

If we can get more people on board and get the database completed in a timely manner, we will be able to post very helpful info like you are requesting. Otherwise, the database will only eventually be useful for historical research, after the pandemic is over, rather than as a source for info that could help or protect people now.
