Visitor and patient restrictions have been lifted at the Markdale hospital because an influenza A outbreak there has passed, Grey Bruce He alth Services said in a news release Monday.

But a more virulent strain of the flu than last year's H1N1 strain is making the rounds in the community, and this year's flu shot guards against it, the public health unit says.
