Taipei, April 14 (CNA) The prevalence of influenza has remained high in Taiwan well past the winter peak season, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) said Tuesday, as it reported that 28 serious flu cases were recorded last week.

The annual winter outbreak, which usually lasts from December to March, has stabilized but remains at a peak although it is already April, said Liu Ting-ping (劉定萍), director of the CDC Epidemic Intelligence Center.
