Fair rent is in short supply in the Permian Basin, as is a ?vacant? sign on any motel, as is a close parking spot at Target ? but there?s one aspect right now that?s widespread and readily available.

It?s just that no one wants the flu...

There's a big oil boom going on in this area right now. (Heard about this from someone moving there.) The money is good and a lot of people are moving there and dealing with adjustment stresses, long hours, and very expensive and scarce housing. Maybe this is contributing to the rough flu season there.
