Flu contributes to five area deaths

...The three deaths in Montgomery County include a 26-year-old Lansdale man, who died on Jan. 3; a 73-year-old Worcester woman, who died Jan. 1; and a 102-year-old Montgomery Township man, who died Dec. 13.

In Bucks County, both deaths occurred since Jan. 1. One was a 90-year-old woman while the other was a 78-year-old man, according to Bucks County Health Director Dr. David Damsker. Damsker declined to provide more specific information such as the dates of the deaths and the community in which the deceased had lived...

The state this week reported a total of 22 flu-related deaths, with the majority of those deaths involving persons older than 65...
