Oklahoma is reporting its first death from the flu this fall. No deaths have been reported in Kansas and Missouri, according to health officials in those states.
The Oklahoma Department of Health reports that one person died during the week of Oct. 3-10 of influenza-related causes. The person is identified only as being between ages 19 and 64.
Jacqueline Lapine, spokeswoman for the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, said: ?We have had 31 cases of predominately influenza A, so far. There have been no deaths reported due to influenza.??
