The number of flu cases in some parts of Florida is soaring right now, health officials warned Thursday.

Martin County's health department has seen a 10-fold jump in the number of lab confirmed flu cases this week compared to last, the agency said Thursday. About 80 percent of the confirmed sick were children, the health department said.
