The Florida Department of Health announced 6,563 new cases of COVID-19 in the state on Wednesday, the highest single-day increase since June 28 but below the record of 9,585 cases on June 27.

Florida now has 158,997 coronavirus cases across the state. The number of reported deaths of Florida residents increased by 45 to to 3,550.

TAMPA (WFLA) — Florida health officials have reported a record increase in new cases of coronavirus Thursday.

The 10,109 total new cases of COVID-19 in the state bring the state total to 169,106.

There were 67 new deaths reported Thursday, bringing the state total to 3,617 since the beginning of the pandemic. There have been 15,150 total hospitalizations — up 325 from Wednesday.

Testing increased on Wednesday – the state received 68,821 results from labs compared to the 45,466 it received on Tuesday. That’s closer to the spike in results we saw Wednesday through Saturday.

Latest COVID-19 numbers: Over 178,000 Florida cases, deaths surpass 3,600

(WSVN) - There are now more than 178,000 reported cases of the coronavirus in Florida, with 3,684 deaths.

As of 11 a.m., Friday, the Florida Department of Health has reported 178,594 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state, an increase of 9,488 from Thursday’s update.

An 11-year-old boy has become Florida's youngest Covid-19 fatality

An 11-year-old boy from Florida's Miami-Dade County is the youngest person to die from Covid-19 complications in the state, according to the Florida Department of Health.

According to the latest health records, he is the third minor in Florida to die of virus complications. The others were a 16-year-old girl in Lee County and a 17-year-old boy in Pasco County.

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Florida reported nearly 11,500 cases of the coronavirus on Saturday, a new single-day record for the state

The state reported 11,458 additional cases of COVID-19 along with 18 deaths on Saturday. There have been 190,052 total cases of COVID-19 and 3,702 deaths since the outbreak began. More than 15,700 people have been hospitalized.
