? One ILI or influenza outbreak was reported in week 6 in an County Detention Facility in Duval County. Ten inmates met the ILI case definition. Nine specimens tested positive at Shands hospital lab for influenza A. Seven of those nine tested positive for 2009 H1N1. No inmates were hospitalized. All ten were treated with Oseltamivir.

In week 7 there were two influenza or ILI outbreaks reported into EpiCom.
? Okaloosa County: A skilled nursing facility reported ten out of 18 staff members as meeting the ILI case definition. One specimen tested
positive for A H1N1 by PCR and another tested positive for influenza A by rapid antigen tests. Neither individual was vaccinated this
season.
? Palm Beach County: An elementary school reported that 24 students and three staff met the ILI case defini\on. The attack rate was 3%.
The absenteeism rate increased from 4.8% to 11.3%. One specimen was collected and sent to the Jacksonville lab. Results are
pending.

Three influenza or ILI outbreaks have been reported into EpiCom in the 201112 influenza season.
