Re: Fla Medic to Represent "The New Media" at CIDRAP conference!

Thanks guys,

I'm honored to be asked to participate, and very excited about going. And I look forward to meeting Scott in person at long last.

It is probably a stretch to say that I'm representing the new media - since I'm such a very small part of a very large and diverse new media universe.

But I will be talking about how the new media now competes with traditional news sources, and the pivotal role that flu forums and news hounds play in the way we now get information about pandemics and emerging infectious diseases.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating. I couldn't do what I do without the hard work and dedication of the newshounds on the flu forums.

Thanks, and (please!) keep up the good work. ;)

Are they distributing secret decoder rings like at the Washington meeting? :D

Re: Fla Medic to Represent "The New Media" at CIDRAP conference!

Well, I was not going to say anything but that decoder ring broke after only one week! I hope to get one of those cool shoe phones or pen cameras now. :D

Re: Fla Medic to Represent "The New Media" at CIDRAP conference!

Hey, I'm going to go to Mike's breakout! Wait! ****, he is directly opposite mine!
I still think I will go to Mike's breakout.
Scott

Re: Fla Medic to Represent "The New Media" at CIDRAP conference!

I mainly accepted so I could get a chance to pal around with Scott for a couple of days. It's gonna be like a Marx Brothers movie.

They'll never invite us back. ;)
