SEATTLE -- Five people in Washington state have died this season, the department of health announced Friday.

The Herald reports four of the deaths are in Snohomish County, including three people in their 80s and a woman in her early 50s. The Snohomish Health District says emergency rooms are filling up with flu patients.

A fifth person, a man in his 60s, died Dec. 19 in Pierce County...
