حذرت حركة "بيطريون بلا حدود" من دخول مرض الطاعون إلى مصر إثر انتشاره على الحدود المصرية الليبية وإصابة عدد كبير من المواطنين اللبيبين به.

انتقد د.أحمد رمضان أستاذ الصحة العامة والوبائيات بكلية الطب جامعة الإسكندرية، الإجراءات الاحترازية التى تقوم بها وزارة الصحة حاليا ضد مرض الطاعون، مشيرا إلى أن رش السيارات ولبس الماسكات غير كاف، ولا يتناسب مع طبيعة العدوى من المرض، حيث يتم نقله فقط من الجرذان المصابة إلى الإنسان عن طريق وسيط ثالث هو "البراغيث"، مشيرا إلى أن مصر يطبق عليها إجراءات الصحة العالمية فى هذا الصدد منذ 2005، والصادرة عن منظمة الصحة العالمية، محذراً من انتشار الجرذان الحاملة للمرض، والتى تعتبر أكثر خطورة من الشخص المصاب نفسه.

وأشارت د.هيام صدقة أستاذ علم الطفيليات كلية الطب جامعة الإسكندرية إلى أن البرغوث فى حد ذاته يعد أكثر خطراً من الفئران المصابة، حيث إن العدوى لا تتم بصورة مباشرة بين الإنسان والفئران، وإنما تنتقل العدوى عن طريق نوع من أنواع البراغيث المشتركة بين التغذية على دم الإنسان والفئران معاً، ويسمى xenopsylla، والذى يعد أخطر أنواعها، حيث يقوم البرغوث بالتغذى على دم الفئران المصابة داخل حويصلة بمعدته لها حراشيف مدببة تحتفظ ببقع الدم المسحوبة، والتى تشكل بيئة جيدة لنمو وتكاثر فيروس الطاعون على أجزاء الدم المتجلطة داخل تلك الحويصلة، وتتم العدوى بقىء هذا الدم الملوث على الإنسان أثناء التغذية بدمه أو فضلات البرغوث التى يفرزها أثناء عملية التغذية، والتى تتسرب إلى الدم من خلال فتحة الامتصاص.

على صعيد آخر، ونظراً لقرب الإسكندرية من الحدود الليبية، أكد د.سراج عبد الحليم ممثل عن إدارة الطب الوقائى بمديرية الشئون الصحية بالإسكندرية أن المديرية تقوم بإجراءات احترازية على الحدود الليبية وليس فقط بالإسكندرية، حيث إن الإدارة قامت بإرسال فريق طبى إلى المنافذ الرئيسية على الحدود الليبية المصرية بمدينة السلوم ومرسى مطروح تقوم بالمراقبة اليومية للأمراض الوبائية كلها (أنفلونزا الطيور والخنازير والطاعون) من خلال الكاميرات الحرارية التى توجد بالمنافذ الرئيسية كمطار برج العرب وميناء الإسكندرية، وعزل الشخص المشتبه فيه وتوجيهه إلى المستشفى المختص، بعد أن قامت وزارة الصحة بفصل المستشفيات حرصا على عدم اختلاط الفيروس وتحوره، حيث تم تخصيص مستشفى الحميات (لأنفلونزا الخنازير) رأس التين وجمال عبد الناصر وكرموز العمال وصدر المعمورة (لأنفلونزا الطيور)، مؤكداً على المديرية بالتنسيق مع الجهات المعنية على المنافذ الرئيسية لمصر بالقاهرة يتبادلون البيانات الرئيسية للحالات المصابة والمشتبه بها الواردة من الخارج، خاصة الدول الموبوءة، ويتم متابعتها سواء فى المستشفى المحول إليها أو بالمنازل خلال الفترة من أسبوع إلى 10 أيام فترة حضانة الفيروس، حيث يتم عمل مسحة له تحلل بمعمل خاص لأنفلونزا الخنازير بمستشفى الحميات بالإسكندرية، والتأكد منها بالمعامل المركزية بالقاهرة.

Obviously, if Egypt is as a precaution isloating anyone who arrives from Libya with a fever or cough, they are going to get a lot of false plague alarms, especially when and if novel H1N1 spreads widely in the area. I still wish some reputable lab would confirm Y. Pestis infection in at least one of the Tobruk cases, but that doesn't seem to be a priority.

Another report of a suspected plague case in Egypt testing negative, I believe. If a suspect case is simply a traveller from Libya with a fever, it makes sense that most would be negative. If suspect means seriously ill, then we might have a problem if they are negative for plague. I'm not sure what to make of the last line in this article, as no other article has mentioned ANYONE from Libya testing positive for ANYHTING recognizable.

This man has essentially no exposure history. He is from Tripoli, not Tobruk, a difference of hundreds of miles. And it appears the only symptom is fever. So we should not be surprised when his samples come back negative for plague. And the article in #163 seems to indicate initial tests are already negative.

But that article is a good find, because it means that a "suspected plague" patient need not be what I would imagine: Severely ill, black spots on skin, bubo, severe pneumonia, etc. A suspected plague patient will be someone from Libya with a fever. And we will likely see many of those. And if there are only a couple dozen plague patients in Libya, it is unlikely a plague patient will acutally make it to Egypt.

And if the illness is not plague, then the chance of a plague patient in Egypt is exactly zero.

There were a bunch of various illnesses, for many of which early initial symptoms could be similar, so subjected to preventive testing.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. That last statement was intended as a bit of a joke. Of course, if the illness (in Libya I mean) is not plague, then there is no way Libya could export a plague case to Egypt. I didn't mean his particular illness. With the vague symptoms described, this man could have seasonal flu.

كشف الدكتور عبدالحى السيد، مدير إدارة الشئون الوقائية بمديرية الصحة بالقاهرة عن قيام المديرية بعمل حصر للمبانى القديمة والمهدمة، وأماكن تجمع القمامة بمشاركة الأحياء، باعتبار أن هذه الأماكن هى البيئة المناسبة لنمو الحشرات والقوارض، التى تقوم بنقل وباء الطاعون.

مصراوي - خاص - أعلنت وزارة الصحة المصرية الثلاثاء أن كل ما تردد عن ظهور أول حالة اصابة بمرض الطاعون بمنطقة السلوم ليس له اي أساس من الصحة.

Masrawy - special - The Egyptian Ministry of Health on Tuesday that all the rumors about the emergence of the first cases of plague disease in SALLUM has no basis in truth.

وأكدت الوزارة أن كافة التحاليل التى تم أخذها من العائدين من ليبيا جاءت جميعها سلبية.

The ministry stressed that all tests were taken of the returnees from Libya, all negative.

وقالت انه تم إجراء التحاليل فى معمل بمرسى مطروح ثم فى المعامل المركزية ومعامل "نمرو 3" وتبين عدم إصابة أي من العائدين من ليبيا بالطاعون.

She said that tests were conducted in the laboratory Bmrsy is then in the central laboratories and factories, "Nmro 3" shows do not get any of the returnees from Libya plague.

So (#171) shows the suspect case from #163 is negative for plague. We knew that was coming. He had no exposure history.

أكد راتب طاهر، عضو مجلس محلى محافظة مطروح عن مدينة السلوم، لليوم السابع، أن جهاز المسح الحرارى الذى تم تركيبه أثناء زيارة الدكتور حاتم الجبلى وزير الصحة لا يعمل حاليا، ويتم الكشف على المسافرين فى الطرق العادية عن طريق قياس درجة الحرارة، مما يشكل خطرا فى حالة مرور أحد الحاملين لمرض الطاعون، كما أن عملية توقيع الكشف لا تتم بصورة منتظمة على جميع المسافرين.

يذكر أن الدكتور حاتم الجبلى وزير الصحة، قرر صرف حوافز بواقع 600% للعاملين بالحجر والعزل الصحى بمنفذ السلوم خلال زيارته للمنفذ يوم الأربعاء الماضى، وتفقد الوزير خلال الزيارة الحجر الصحى بالمنفذ وعملية تشغيل جهاز المسح الحرارى، كما تفقد الجبلى عملية التطهير ورش السيارات القادمة من ليبيا.

فى حين لم يقم الدكتور حاتم الجبلى بزيارة مستشفى السلوم المركزى، والوقوف على مدى احتياج المستشفى للأجهزة والمستلزمات الطبية اللازمة لمرضى مدينة السلوم، تحسبا لظهور حالات مصابة بمرض الطاعون القادمة من ليبيا، مما آثار غضب عدد كبير من المواطنين بمدينة السلوم

أفرجت نيابة مطروح العامة برئاسة المستشار تامر سعد يونس، عن حوالى 200 عامل مصرى كانوا قد تسللوا للعمل فى ليبيا، وخلال عودتهم فى مجموعات على مدار الأسبوع الماضى من منفذ السلوم، ألقت السلطات المصرية القبض عليهم فى ظل التزايد الكبير لعودة المصريين من ليبيا بسبب تضيق السلطات الليبية على المخالفين لشروط الإقامة، وترحيل من يتم القبض عليه.

وكشفت التحقيقات أن معظمهم ينتمون لمحافظات أسيوط والمنيا والفيوم، وأنهم لا يحملون أوراق سفر أو ما يثبت أنهم غادروا البلاد، وأنهم سافروا إلى ليبيا بطرق غير مشروعة عبر الدروب الصحراوية التى تمر بين حقول الألغام، وتسلل الحدود للأراضى الليبية بمعرفة الأدلاء والمهربين، مقابل مبالغ مالية تتراوح ما بين 700 إلى 1000 جنيه عن كل فرد. وقررت النيابة الإفراج عنهم جميعا، بعد دفع كل منهم غرامة مالية قدرها 102 جنيها وترحيلهم إلى محافظاتهم.
