The first patient with this disease in the country, a man aged 45, came from Venezuela.
The renowned infectious disease, Dr. Ciro Magui?a, this morning reported the first case of the disease zika in Peru.
The patient is a man of 45, who arrived in the country by land from Colombia, and earlier, of Venezuela. At present, he is admitted to the Cayetano Heredia hospital.
Dr. Magui?a stressed that it is a benign disease, without complications, and the patient is under observation.
"Not that Lima will be an outbreak, we are not in the tropics," said the specialist.
