The first victim of swine flu has been registered in Kosovo. A patient which was admitted in a critical state in hospital, has passed away today (04.03) at 7.30 am in the Infective Wing of the University Hospital of Kosovo.
The 57 year old patient from the village of Brod in Dragash was in a critical state, as she was confirmed to be infected by the H1N1 virus or swine flu.
The patient was admitted at the Infective Wing on March 2, 2014 in the evening hours, with problems in the lungs. She was sent to the reanimation ward, but in spite of the efforts of the personnel, she could not make it.
From February 27, 2014 until today, out of 57 samples tested for the swine flu, 30 samples have resulted positive. 20 patients have resulted to be affected by H1N1 flu and 11 others resulted to be affected by the ordinary A flu.
