Filipino Community To Get H1N1 Vaccination Shots

Bandar Seri Begawan - In support of the Brunei Ministry of Health's efforts to prevent the spread of the Infuenza A (H1N1) virus, the Philippine Embassy is urging members of the Filipino community in Brunei to get their Influenza A (H1N1) vaccination shots.

Members of the community living in the Brunei-Muara District can receive their vaccinations at the Berakas indoor stadium, Ong Sum Ping Vaccination Centre, Berakas `A' Health Centre in Kg Anggerek Desa, Jubli Perak Health Centre in Sengkurong and the sports complex, RIPAS hospital. For those in the Belait District, the Sun Seri Begawan hospital and Sungai Liang Health Centre will be at their disposal.Filipinos staying in the Tutong District can travel to Pengiran Muda
Mahkota Pengiran Muda, as well as the Haji-Al Muhtadee Billah Hospital in Tutong.For those in the Temburong District, the Pengiran Isteri Haj a Mariam Hospital will be available to provide the vaccine.

The vaccine is being provided free of charge to Bruneians and foreign residents. Members of the Filipino community must bring their IC and passports of dependent children during their visits to the vaccination centres, the Philippine Embassy said.

Office hours are from 8am to 4.15pm, Monday - Thursday and Saturday. For further inquiries regarding Influenza A (H1N1), call the Healthline 145 during office hours or 7180991 after office hours. --
