Fiji's second COVID-19 case recorded

Fiji now has its second case of COVID-19 and this is the mother of the first patient, says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.
The flight attendant who tested positive on Thursday had come into contact with his family members and this is now the first case of local transmission.
11 members of the man’s family were isolated and transported to Nadi, where the mother developed the symptoms her results came back positive today...
Covid-19: Fiji confirms third case

Fiji has confirmed another case of Covid-19, bringing its tally to three.
Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama said the third case was the one-year-old nephew of Fiji's first case, whose mother was the second.
Eleven members of the first patient's household have been isolated and the third case only became symptomatic while in isolation, Mr Bainimarama said...

As of today, there are over 70 coronavirus cases around the the Pacific Islands as Covid-19 sweeps the globe.
Fiji has announced its fifth case, a 31-year-old Lautoka woman who had been in a Zumba class with a flight attendent who tested positive last week.
Lautoka is under strict lockdown and Nadi Airport is closed as of today...

Fiji now has 14 confirmed cases of COVID-19 after two more people have tested positive.

Fiji's Covid-crippled economy sees half islands out of work

A non-government organisation in Fiji says the country is gripped by "panic" as a downturn in tourism has left half the working population out of a job.
While Fiji is currently virus-free, having only recorded 27 cases of COVID-19 and no deaths, the islands have been devastated by the collapse of the tourism industry, which employs around 150,000 people and fuels the nation's economy.
