Health Ministry working to keep it curtailed

Minister for Health Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete has confirmed there are six cases of typhoid in Vanua Levu and they are working with the patients and their communities to keep this curtailed.

Dr Waqainabete says there were 3 cases recorded before the cyclone and now there are 6 in total where one of the suspected causes is a known carrier from Viti Levu...

There are three new cases of typhoid in the Northern Division.

This was confirmed by Major Hiani Ieli from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces while briefing the President Major-General (Ret’d) Jioji Konrote at Naulumatua House yesterday.
