GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) - The Kent County Health Department reports that a fifth county resident has died as a result of this year's flu.
The flu victim was a man over the age of 50 who was tested and found to be suffering from Influenza A/H1N1, which is the predominant strain making the rounds this year, according to the health department. The health department reports that they do not know the medical history of the individual, so it is unclear if he had any underlying medical conditions.
