Transcript from video:
Armstrong: "It's been dramatic, the geography, when you look at it, from Texas and Oklahoma all the way up into the Dakotas, and where it hits, it hits with devastation, of course."

Samuelson: "And that's the waterfowl route, the migratory waterfall route, and I guess that's why they continue to think that's how it's spreading."

Armstrong: "They believe it's the wild birds, indeed, rather than individuals tracking it into operations, but it really underscores the need for biosecurity as much as ever before.
Orion Samuelson and Max Armstrong open this week's show with a look at the continuing spread of avian influenza including a talk with Dr. John Clifford, USDA chief veterinary officer...

No sign yet of cases in OK or TX reported on the USDA website, which covers all types of HPAI:

http://www.aphis.usda.gov/wps/portal...pacific_flyway

So is this information only being shared with 'stakeholders' at this point? If these are new cases, the geography and timing would continue to be in the opposite direction of Spring bird migrations. Very confusing.

We have to assume wide spread and by all manner. Everyone needs to implement biosecurity measures on their farms - at every level. Trucks, cars, people, bodies of water. All of it.

USDA has hints and tips here:
