Influenza A viruses are responsible for significant morbidity and mortality after bone marrow transplantation. Here we report failure of inhaled zanamivir treatment in a bone-marrow transplant recipient with pneumonia caused by an influenza A (H1N1) virus, although the influenza viruses isolated from bronchoalveolar lavages before and after treatment were clearly found to be sensitive to zanamivir using cell-based and enzymatic assays. Subsequent oral treatment with oseltamivir allowed complete recovery. Poor bioavailability of zanamivir in the peripheral lungs might have been limiting treatment efficacy in such an immunocompromised patient.

Hi Snowy,
I suppose that your sentence pointed for a pneumonia remedy without antivirals. If not, please correct my post in this thread.

The "rest" part, because of this changed weather hotness which prone me to less digging possible data, remains unknown for me?

P.S.
Kefir can be in the industrialized adjuvated form, or it must be from every day mushroom's liquid?
What about a (red) Cau. zone (?) mushroom which liquid give very strong immunity to the people who consume it? Can it be reached on the market under some name, or it's only a priviledge of that site population?

And if GSK has pulled their finger out and completed clinical trials of injectable zanamivir, that would have worked too.

Inhaled zanamavir's inability to treat systemic infection is hardly news, it's advantages are to provide concentrated NA inhibitor at the site of primary infection, (and not to flood across the blood-brain barrier making people loopy).
