If you ever read it, refresh youself, that's always good when dealing with complex concepts.
It was intended to be a review of the current knowlege at that time (1992).
This is my opinion, but i think that for any scientist involve in influenza research, this article was and IS even now THE reference.
You'll understand why Dr.Webster is one of the great name in the wold of influenza and never saw again a Duck Magret the same way !
Also, note the presence of Dr.Kawaoka in the credits
