Adam Tobias Hansen

Adam Tobias Hansen, 29, of Everett, WA, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, December 10, 2009 due to complications of the H1N1 virus and severe pneumonia.

Adam and his identical twin brother, Andy, were born on April 4, 1980 in Seattle, WA to Carolyn and Jim Hansen.
Adam graduated from Everett High School in 1998. After high school, Adam worked for Riddle Construction & Design as a carpenter. Not only did he enjoy working with his hands at work, but this also carried over into his hobbies. He especially enjoyed wood working projects and stained glass. A Colonial flag he made is displayed in a window at the high school.
He looked forward to duck hunting and fishing with his brothers, Erik and Andy and many friends. He was part of a dart and pool league and played softball for several years. Cooking and grilling was a favorite pasttime and he loved creating new recipes.
Adam is survived by his parents, Carolyn and Jim, of Everett, WA; his brothers, Erik (Kelly), of Everett, WA, Andy of Everett, WA, and Matthew, of Gold Bar, WA; grandmother, Bessie Nielsen, of East Wenatchee, WA; many loved aunts, uncles, cousins; friends and countless others.
Adam was preceded in death by grandfathers, Carl Nielsen and Selmer Hansen; grandmother, Tilda Hansen; many uncles and great aunts and uncles.
A celebration of Adam's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009, at Advent Lutheran Church, 4306 132nd St SE, Mill Creek, WA 98012. A reception to follow in the fellowship hall at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adam Hansen Memorial Fund at any Bank of America within WA state or Ducks Unlimited.
Our deepest appreciation and thanks to the many wonderful doctors, nurses and support staff of the CCU at Providence Regional Medical Center - Everett for their compassionate care throughout Adam's stay. You were all angels.
