Foreign Ministry confirmed that the Saudi government said that international consultants and experts recommended at a workshop recently held by the Saudi Ministry of Health and certain requirements must be met, to require that the arrivals of the Hajj this year - from all the States - to provide a valid certificate of vaccination against seasonal influenza and in the case of swine flu provide universal access to pre-Hajj visa two weeks.
The Foreign Ministry appealed to the pilgrims and Umrah performers and the Egyptians on the need to observe the requirements and special health requirements in order to avoid infection with swine flu,
In addition to asking them each year to provide a certificate of vaccination against meningitis before travel to perform Umrah and Hajj to avoid exposure to any trouble or problems for their health, and to ensure public safety risk to them and to prevent the spread of infectious diseases including bird flu pigs «H1N1».
The ambassador said Dr. Mustafa troops, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs, said that the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the workshop held by the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia attended by experts from the Centers for Disease Control in America and the World Health Organization to discuss the developments of the swine flu epidemic.
He said: During the workshop, the experts stressed the need for all States, which the pilgrims come from the intensification of health programs for the prevention of influenza through the pigs.
And advised the pilgrims and Umrah performers from the elderly and the chronically ill, children and pregnant women to postpone the Hajj pilgrimage this year for their own safety.

وناشدت وزارة الخارجية الحجاج والمعتمرين المصريين والجهات المعنية بضرورة الالتزام بالمتطلبات والاشتراطات الصحية الخاصة لتجنب العدوى بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير،

إضافة إلى ما يطلب منهم كل عام من تقديم شهادة تطعيم ضد الحمى الشوكية قبل سفرهم لأداء مناسك العمرة والحج لتفادى تعرضهم لأى متاعب أو مشاكل على صحتهم، ولضمان السلامة العامة لهم ولدرء مخاطر انتشار الأمراض المعدية ومنها مرض أنفلونزا الخنازير «H١N١».

وقال السفير الدكتور مصطفى جندى، نائب مساعد وزير الخارجية للشؤون القنصلية، إن وزارة الخارجية السعودية أفادت بأن ورشة العمل التى عقدتها وزارة الصحة السعودية شارك فيها خبراء من مراكز مكافحة الأمراض بأمريكا ومنظمة الصحة العالمية لبحث المستجدات الوبائية لأنفلونزا الخنازير.

وقال: أكد الخبراء خلال الورشة ضرورة قيام جميع الدول التى يفد منها الحجاج بتكثيف البرامج الصحية الخاصة بطرق الوقاية من أنفلونزا الخنازير.

ونصحوا الحجاج والمعتمرين من كبار السن والمصابين بأمراض مزمنة والأطفال والحوامل بتأجيل العمرة والحج هذا العام حرصا على سلامتهم.
