Elderly Woman's Death Due To H1N1

Kuching - A 69-year old woman from here became the most recent victim of Influenza A (H1N1), bringing the death toll in Sarawak to five.
The woman was admitted to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) on Aug 12 after three days of experiencing shortness of breath, wheezing and palpitation.
She died of cardiogenic shock the day after.
Results released yesterday confirmed that she was H1N1 positive.
According to the State Operations Room, a total of 13 positive cases are still warded statewide as of noon yesterday. Three cases are being treated in ICU, while the rest in normal wards.
SGH has six patients in the ward and two in ICU.
Miri Hospital has four cases in total, with one of them warded in ICU, while Bintulu Hospital has one person in the ward.
