أكد الدكتور أشرف شعلان المقرر توليه رئاسة المركز القومى للبحوث فى 19 نوفمبر الجارى، فى تصريح خاص لليوم السابع، أنه سوف يتحرك ليصل إلى المسئولين للسماح له بأن يقوم المركز بإنتاج لقاح لفيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير، وذلك بعد أن يجلس مع الباحثين فى المركز لمعرفة ما يمكن أن يقدمه قائلا "سوف أفعل أى شىء فيه مصلحة للبلد".

وأضاف شعلان أنه سيسعى فى خطوات جدية لتصنيع لقاح أنفلونزا الطيور، الذى يعد من أهم الأولويات التى سوف يتم طرحها على أجندته، مؤكدا أن الموضوع فى غاية الأهمية لأنه يمس الأمن القومى، قائلا "سوف أجلس مع الباحثين الذين توصلوا إلى لقاح أنفلونزا الطيور المصنع من سلالة مصرية 100% لمعرفة كل تفاصيل الموضوع، ولكن الأمر يتطلب وجودى بصفة رسمية فى المركز، فحتى الآن يعد الدكتور هانى الناظر هو رئيس المركز".

وأضاف الدكتور شعلان أن تقنية الهندسة الوراثية العكسية متوفرة فى المركز، وهى الأساس التى يقوم عليه عزل الفيروسات لإنتاج لقاحات لها، وهو ما تم فى لقاح أنفلونزا الطيور وهو أيضا ما يكن أن يتحقق لإنتاج لقاح لفيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير.

يذكر أن لقاح أنفلونزا الطيور تم التوصل له فى شهر مايو الماضى وواجه العديد من الصعوبات والعراقيل لإنتاجه حتى الآن، بداية من رفض الشركة القابضة للمستحضرات الحيوية واللقاحات (المصل واللقاح) تصنيعه إلا بعد الحصول على تقرير من وزارة الزراعة بتقييمه، وهو ما دفع المركز القومى للبحوث إلى التعاقد مع الشركة القابضة للأدوية لإنتاج اللقاح، إلا أن العقد لم يشر إلى حجم الجرعات التى سوف يتم إنتاجها أو إلى موعد محدد لإنتاج اللقاح وهو ما يضع علامات استفهام كبيرة حول مصير هذا اللقاح الذى أرسل الدكتور أحمد نظيف رئيس الوزراء خطاب شكر به إلى الباحثين الذين توصلوا له مؤكدا أن ما فعلوه هو إنجاز علمى.

علم اليوم السابع من مصادر بحثية بالمركز القومى للبحوث، أن فريقا من الباحثين يجرون أبحاثا معملية لإنتاج لقاح لأنفلونزا الخنازير فى سرية تامة، حتى لا تتعرض جهود الباحثين للإحباط أو العرقلة من جانب المسؤلين من خارج المركز.

وتعتمد الدراسات التى تجرى حول إنتاج اللقاح، على تقنية الهندسة الوراثية العكسية وهى تكنولوجيا متقدمة تم استيرادها من الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ويمكن من خلالها عزل الفيروسات خلال أسبوعين فقط بدلاً من 6 أشهر، على عكس ما كان يحدث فى الماضى. وبذلك يمكن من خلال هذه التقنية المتوفرة فى المركز، أن يتم عزل أية سلالات جديدة لفيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير تظهر فى أى وقت بالنسبة.

كما أكدت المصادر أن المركز يمكنه عمل توصيف كامل وتحضير للقاح أنفلونزا الخنازير، كما سبق أن نجح فى عزل فيروس أنفلونزا الطيور وإنتاج لقاح له، والمقرر تصنيعه من خلال الشركة القابضة للأدوية، بعد أن ارتفعت حدة الخلاف بين الشركة القابضة للمستحضرات الحيوية واللقاحات (المصل واللقاح)، والمركز القومى للبحوث بشأن تصنيع اللقاح المصرى لأنفلونزا الطيور من سلالة مصرية 100%.

وحصل باحثو المركز على عينات من فيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير، بالرغم من أن وزارة الصحة أخذت تماطل فى توفير هذه العينات للباحثين بالمركز، خاصة أن الدكتور حاتم الجبلى وزير الصحة، سبق أن أكد فى تصريحات صحفية أن إنتاج لقاح لأنفلونزا الخنازير لن يكون مفيدا على المستوى الاقتصادى، لأن استيراده سوف يكون أرخص.

السرية التامة التى تحيط بأبحاث إنتاج لقاح لأنفلونزا الخنازير تعود إلى ضرورة أن يحصل الباحثين على تصريح من المسئولين والقيادات العليا بإنتاج اللقاح، وهو الأمر الذى حدث عند الشروع فى إنتاج لقاح لأنفلونزا الطيور، وأرسل الدكتور أحمد نظيف رئيس الوزراء خطاب شكر للباحثين الذين توصلوا له واصفا بحثهم بالإنجاز العلمى.

تأتى هذه الجهود البحثية متزامنة مع نهاية الفترة الرئاسية الثانية للدكتور هانى الناظر رئيس المركز القومى للبحوث المقرر انتهاء رئاسته يوم 19 نوفمبر الجارى وتكريمه من الباحثين غدا الاثنين ليخلفه لرئاسة المركز الدكتور أشرف شعلان الذى سبق أن صرح لليوم السابع أن إنتاج لقاح لأنفلونزا الخنازير سوف يكون من أهم أهدافه التى سوف يسعى لإنجازها خلال رئاسته للمركز القومى للبحوث.

not really that odd, as i recall someplace they mentioned suspected limited p2p spread during the last year.

what i do find odd is no current samples being released for egypt.with namru3 based here and being tied directly to the who.
