The Supply Police, under the supervision of Major General Mohamed Fathallah, Assistant Minister of the Interior, launched control campaigns, which resulted in the seizure of (5014) cases of bakery violations, with seizures amounting to (121,350 tons of “my document” flour – 17,750 tons of “my” flour – 645 “in” ration cards - 3200 Baladi loaf subsidized "Ayni" - 2 subsidized bread dispensing machines "Ayni").

Efforts succeeded in seizing (109) cases in the field of manipulating the system of supplying and trading barley rice for the current harvest season and controlling smuggling cases, with seizures amounting to (1219,194 tons of barley rice).

Penal Code No. 58 of 1937 laid down penalties of up to imprisonment and a fine in the event of fraud in commercial transactions, as Article 345 stipulates: “People who caused the increase or decline of the prices of crops, goods, bonuses, or financial bonds prepared for circulation above the value prescribed for them in commercial transactions by publishing them.” Deliberately spreading false or slanderous news or advertisements, giving them to the seller a price greater than what he asked for, or colluding with famous merchants who own one type of merchandise or grain for not selling it at all, or forbidding its sale at a price less than the price agreed upon among them, or in any other fraudulent way, they shall be punished. Imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine not exceeding five hundred Egyptian pounds, or one of these two penalties only. Article 346 of the penalty was doubled and stipulated:The maximum limit for the imprisonment penalty stipulated in the previous article shall be doubled if such deception occurred in relation to the price of meat, bread, firewood, coal or other necessary needs.
