Due to a "heater"... a fire engulfs a poultry farm and causes the death of thousands of chicks in Fayoum
Firefighters from the Civil Protection Department in Fayoum extinguished a fire that broke out in a poultry farm in a village belonging to the Fayoum district.
Major General Ahmed Ezzat, Assistant Minister of Interior for Fayoum Security, received a notification from Brigadier General Mohamed Magid, Director of the Civil Protection Department in Fayoum, about a fire breaking out in a poultry farm with an area of 4 carats in Abu Al-Saoud village, which belongs to the Fayoum Center.

Colonel Islam Hamdi, Deputy Director of the Civil Protection Department, moved at the head of a rescue team consisting of 4 fire engines, and the fire was contained and extinguished before it spread to the adjacent farm area.
A security source revealed that the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit in one of the electric heaters located in the farm's barns, which caused the wood in the farm to catch fire and thousands of chicks to die. The Fayoum Central Prosecution Office was notified and is handling the investigation.
