The ministerial committee established to combat the spread of avian flu, and chaired by the Minister of Health, has been continuously monitoring and reviewing developments as follows:
First: 10 samples of humans from (Sohag, Menufiya, Cairo, Damietta) who had been in contact with dead birds, employed at farms where infections had been detected or showed symptoms similar to that of avian flu, were tested yesterday.
All samples tested negative.
Second: Daily status report of infection among fowl:
No new cases of infections were reported to the Central Veterinary Lab.
