I'm trying to track down the exact village/town that each of the five recent confirmed cases are/were from.

1 - Oula Yunis Ali Mohamed (25F) - d. Dec 25, 2007
2 - Attorh Hanim Ibrahim [aka Hanem Atwa Ibrahim] (50F) - d. Dec 31, 2007
3 - Nora Aboul Abbas Mohamed (21/22F)
4 - Fatma Fathi Mohamed (25F) - d. Dec 30, 2007
5 - Firdaus Mohamed Hadad (26F) - d. Dec 31, 2007

LaidbackAl already mapped the first one -- thanks, Al! I've just found #4. There's not enough info on #5 yet. So that leaves numbers 2 and 3.

2 - Attorh Hanim Ibrahim [aka Hanem Atwa Ibrahim] (50F) - d. Dec 31, 2007

- from Damietta governorate
- reported as being from "Al Ngdi's land in the region of Ezbet meat"

The question is, where is "Ezbet meat"? -- in Arabic: عزبة اللحم

There are a lot of places in Damietta called Ezbet-something. The question is, which one is "Ezbet meat"?

3 - Nora Aboul Abbas Mohamed (21/22F)

- from Monufia/Al Minufiyah Governorate
- reported as being from "the 'village of Braheem' near Menouf/Minuf city"

Can anybody find the "village of Braheem"? -- in Arabic: قرية برهيم التابعة

I need to take a break just now, but I'll be back later. Thanks, guys! :)

Re: EGYPT - New Year's Eve challenge

I think Braheem is another name for Brahim.

If I am right do I win the prize? :D
We have a winner!! Yay! :applause:

Yeah -- that looks like it's prolly right 'cause Barhim is pretty close to Minuf city and that's what the article had said. Thanks! :tiphat:

For the prize -- how about the champagne in the mask?! Any way to replace that filter with a little container of bubbly? Then you could just lean your head back a bit whenever you wanted a sip! ;)
