واكد الدكتور عمرو قنديل ? ممثل وزارة الصحة أن هناك 8 حالات من إجمالي الحالات التى تم الكشف عن اصابتها بانفلونزا الخنازير تماثلوا للشفاء وصدرت تعليمات بالسماح لهم بالخروج من المستشفيات بينما لازالت باقى الحالات محتجزة بالمستشفيات وحالتهم جميعاً جيدة.

واستحدثت وزارة الصحة خطة لتحديد الاجراءات التى سيتم اتخاذها فى حالة ظهور حالات مصابة وسط تجمعات تشمل إقامة كاملة مثل المدن الجامعية والمعسكرات وما يجب اتخاذه بتجمع ليس فيه إقامة كاملة مثل المدارس.

واوضح سماحة أن الهيئة تجرى عمليات تفتيش دورية وتشن حملات مفاجئة للتحقق من صحة البلاغات و الشكاوى التى ترد إليها، بالإضافة لتوفير أطباء بيطريين بالأكمنة لمنع تهريب الخنازير أو نقل الطيور بين المحافظات، فضلاً عن المراقبة الدورية للأماكن السابقة لتربية الخنازير، للتأكد من عدم وجود أى نوع من أنواع التربية لهذه المناطق مرة أخرى.
