[FONT=arial (arabic)]البعض أرجع هذا الارتفاع الي الاقبال الشديد من المواطنين وزيادة الطلب بمناسبة شم النسيم والأعياد مقابل تراجع الانتاج لتأثره بانفلونزا الطيور وشائعات فرض رسوم جمركية علي الكتاكيت المستوردة مما جعل المنتجين يفرضون سيطرتهم علي السوق ويتحكمون في الأسعار مما أثر سلبا علي أسعار اللحوم البلدي والمستوردة والتي ارتفعت أيضا بنسبة‏20%‏ ليصل سعر طن اللحوم البرازيلية الي‏2800‏ دولار مقابل‏2200‏ دولار في الشهر الماضي‏,‏ كما ينطبق ذلك علي البيض الذي ارتفع سعره بمناسبة عيد شم النسيم لذلك قرر المهندس رشيد محمد رشيد وزير التجارة والصناعة عقد اجتماع عاجل مع اتحاد منتجي الدواجن وعدد من التجار وقال الدكتور عبد العزيز السيد رئيس شعبة تجار الدواجن بالغرفة التجارية بالقاهرة ان الاجتماع سيبحث الوضع الحالي للسوق والقضاء علي أي ممارسات احتكارية‏.‏[/FONT]​
