أكد د.حاتم الجبلى وزير الصحة استجابة 99.7% من مرضى أنفلونزا الخنازير للعلاج والشفاء التام، وأن الحالة الحالية لا تدعو للقلق، مشيرا إلى شفاء 1876 حالة من جملة 1881 حالة، وأن عدد الوفيات بلغ 6 حالات فقط، وناشد المواطنين عزل المرضى داخل المنازل وعدم تلقى كبار السن ومرضى الحالات المزمنة للأدوية دون استشارة طبية.
وأشار الوزير - خلال زيارته لمحافظة بنى سويف اليوم الثلاثاء، لتفقد عدد من المنشآت الصحية بالمحافظة - إلى أنه تم عقد اجتماع موسع بالوزارة لعدد 1100 من أصحاب المستشفيات والمعامل الخاصة لتفعيل القرار الوزارى الخاص باستقبال هذه المنشآت لحالات مرضى أنفلونزا الخنازير.
وبدأ الوزير زيارته للمحافظة بتفقد الإنشاءات الجديدة بمستشفى الفشن المركزى، وأصدر تعليماته لجميع المسئولين بالوزارة بضرورة الانتهاء من إنشاء وتجهيز جميع المستشفيات الجديدة بالمحافظة خلال شهر يناير المقبل ليتم افتتاحها. وأكد أن الوزارة بدأت فى إلغاء مستشفيات الحميات على مستوى الجمهورية وتحويلها إلى أقسام داخل المستشفيات العامة والمركزية، مشيرا إلى أن هذا اتجاه عالمى
تتبعه كافة الدول الأوروبية.
وأوضح أن الوزارة أعدت نموذج موحد لإنشاء المستشفيات العامة والمركزية والوحدات الصحية حتى يتم القضاء على العشوائيات التى لا تليق بالمستوى الصحى للمواطن.
وقام الجبلى يرافقه عزت عبدالله محافظ بنى سويف بعد انتهاء الزيارة، باستقبال طالب ثانوى فى مكتب المحافظ يعانى من حالة مرضية نادرة - هو وشقيقه الأكبر - فى الغدد الليمفاوية ولم يستجب للعلاج الكيماوى والدوائى. وأمر الوزير بتشكيل فريق طبى على أعلى مستوى لفحص حالة الشقيقين وإعداد تقرير بحالتهما وعلاجهما داخل مصر أو خارجها بعد إرسال هذه التقارير إلى المستشارين الطبيين فى إنجلترا وفرنسا، وقرر المحافظ تحمل المحافظة تكاليف انتقالات أسرة المريضين للقاهرة لمتابعة الفحص.
