قال أمين أباظة ل "المساء" إن الوزارة ليست ضد مزارعي الأرز أو زراعته خاصة ان المساحات تزرع فقط في الوجه البحري وتحديدا الدلتا التي استهلكت تماماً بسبب زراعات الأرز المتكررة.

أضاف أن منسوب المياه زاد علي المعدل الطبيعي مما يهدد بانهيار جزء منها بالإضافة إلي "تطبيل" الأرض وعدم جدوي زراعتها بأي حاصلات أخري.
