Egypt: Let?s recap some of the events of yesterday and today.

At the Canadian-Egyptian Business Council, they discussed the seriousness of Swine Flu, but they also went on to discuss the seriousness of the impact of plague and epidemics. That would be plural. ?epidemics?.
In Kafr El-Sheikh, the Governor had a meeting with health officials to address the epidemic diseases. That would be a plural. ?diseases?. Also, Dr. Hatem el-Gabali, pointed out a quarantine will be opened and all the cities to quarantine the university to receive the pilgrims and Umram performers, with the full cooperation from the Saudi side, to review all points.
At a group meeting with ?Doctors Without Rights?, Dr. Hatem el-Gabali said to expect a rise in H1N1 to reach hundreds of thousands, to the point where the count ends.
Dr. Hatem el-Gabali, has also reserved 2.5 million doses of Tamiflu to bring the total to 5 million reserves.
In Menofia, they plan to have convoys in ten villages for treatment outside of hospitals, for bird flu and swine flu. This is to reduce the central crowds rush in the event of an outbreak of avian influenza and swine flu. The convoy would have a clinic for inner chest children, the abdominal, and a pharmacy for disbursement of necessary treatment, free of charge.
In Giza Governorate, the decision has been made to monitor all entrances and exits to avoid transmission of the plague.
The Minister of Health, Dr. Hatem el-Gabali has also decided to urgently establish a center for management for the crisis of swine flu epidemic. This center will be electronically linked to 29 provinces and the World Health Center, and it?s regional office in Cairo, as well as the CDC in Atlanta. He also says, the process of elimination is not realistic. The goal is put in place to respond to ?any adjustments that might arise in the field?.
In Alexandria, they have decided to have separate hospitals for Bird Flu, and Swine Flu. Even though, they don?t haven?t had any current cases of Bird Flu, I guess it should have its own designation.
