أعلنت مديرية الصحة بكفر الشيخ، عن وفاة سيدة تُدعى "أحلام على زايد" (ربة منزل) تبلغ من العمر (26 عامًا) ومقيمة بقرية العتوة البحرية مركز قطور بالغربية، قبل ورود نتائج العينات حول طبيعة إصابتها بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير أو الطيور أو المستجدة ولقيت منيتها بالمستشفى العام بكفر الشيخ بعد احتجازها منذ ثلاثة أيام بمستشفى الصدر بكفر الشيخ، للاشتباه فى إصابتها بالأنفلونزا المستجدة، وتم أخذ عينة منها وأرسلت إلى المعامل المركزية بالقاهرة التابعة لوزارة الصحة بالقاهرة وتم نقلها لمستشفى كفر الشيخ العام لاستكمال علاجها.
