دفعت حالة الاجهاد التي سببتها حرب إنفلونزا الطيور للفرق الوقائية والعلاجية بوزارة الصحة مسئولي الوزارة إلي المبادرة باتخاذ إجراءات مشددة تضمن تجنب حدوث حالات طارئة أو تفشيات وبائية‏,‏ وقررت الوزارة شن أكبر حرب صيفية علي الحشرات‏,‏ ووقف استخدام الثلج في المشروبات‏,‏ وتنظيم حملات لمنع الباعة الجائلين‏,‏ ووقف عمليات تجهيز الوجبات الغذائية في الشوارع والميادين‏.‏​

الدكتور نصر السيد‏,‏ مساعد وزير الصحة لقطاع الشئون الوقائية أكد أن الوزير د‏.‏حاتم الجبلي طالب بوضع مجموعة من الفرق الثابتة والمتحركة للاكتشاف المبكر لأمراض الصيف‏,‏ مثل النزلات المعوية والتيفود وأخذ عينات من المياه والصرف الصحي من الأماكن الأكثر خطورة للتنبؤ بحدوث أي تفشيات أو أمراض وبائية‏.‏​

Dr. Nasr El Sayed, Assistant Secretary for Health Affairs Sector, the Minister stressed that preventive d. وكشف د‏.‏السيد عن إنشاء غرف عمليات وقائية بكل إدارة صحية بجميع مديريات الشئون الصحية تكون مهمتها الإبلاغ الفوري عن أي تغييرات غير عادية‏,‏ واخطار الغرفة الوقائية المركزية للتحرك واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة‏.‏​
