أصدر اللواء سيد عبدالعزيز، محافظ الجيزة، تعليمات بتشديد الرقابة على محال بيع الطيور الحية لمواجهة مرض أنفلونزا الطيور، وتنظم مديرية الطب البيطرى حملات تحصين بلقاح أنفلونزا الطيور لجميع الأحياء الموجودة بالمحافظة مرتين سنوياً لتطعيم الطيور من منزل إلى منزل،
Major General Syed Abdul Aziz issued, Governor of Giza, instructions to tighten control over the stores that sell live birds to cope with bird flu, the Department of Veterinary Medicine organized vaccination campaigns bird flu vaccine for all the preservation of existing neighborhoods twice a year to vaccinate birds from house to house,
ومن المقرر أن تبدأ الحملة الثالثة خلال هذا الشهر، بالإضافة إلى حملات إرشاد وتوعية فى المدارس والنوادى وأماكن التجمعات الأخرى للتعريف بمرض أنفلونزا الطيور ومخاطره والاحتياطات الواجبة نحوه.
It is scheduled to begin during the third campaign this month, in addition to guidance and awareness campaigns in schools, clubs and other gathering places for the definition of bird flu, risks and precautions to be taken so.
قال الدكتور سيد جاد المولى، مدير مديرية الطب البيطرى إنه جار تكثيف عمليات مراقبة مداخل المحافظة لرصد حركة سيارات نقل الدواجن ومدى التزامها بتصريح النقل من إدارة الطب البيطرى التابعة لها المزرعة التى يتم التحميل منها، وإعدام الطيور فى حال عدم الالتزام.

وشدد المحافظ على تكثيف الحملات على محال بيع الطيور الحية داخل المدن والأحياء، وإعدام الطيور المصابة وإصدار قرارات إدارية بإغلاق هذه المحال حفاظاً على صحة المواطنين.
The governor stressed to intensify crackdowns on stores that sell live birds inside the cities and neighborhoods, the execution of infected birds and the issuance of administrative decisions to close these stores in order to preserve the health of citizens.
وأكد أن لجان التفتيش بالمديرية تمر على مجازر الدواجن المرخصة من وزارة الزراعة وتلزمها بضرورة تواجد طبيب أو اثنين كمشرف دائم طوال وقت العمل داخل المجزر، وتجري هذه اللجان التحقيق والمتابعة للشكاوى الواردة إلى المديرية سواء من تربية طيور فى المنازل أو المزارع، وأخذ عينات للفحص، وفى حالات الاشتباه يتم إعدام أى طيور بها إصابات سواء كانت مزارع أو طيوراً منزلية.
