شدد المستشار يحيى عبد المجيد محافظ الشرقية، على مديرية الصحة بضرورة إعلان حالة الطوارئ القصوى داخل جميع مستشفيات محافظة الشرقية، حيث تم منع الإجازات لجميع الأطباء والممرضات والعاملين بالمستشفيات داخل المحافظة تحسباً لاستقبال حالات مرضية مصابة بفيروس H1N1 المسبب لمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير.
The Chancellor Yahya Abdul-Majid, the governor of the East, the Health Directorate of the need to declare a state of extreme emergency in all hospitals in the eastern province, in terms of holidays for all doctors, nurses and staff of hospitals within the province in anticipation of the reception of cases infected with H1N1 strain of bird flu pigs.
وأكد الدكتور سيد أبو الخير وكيل وزارة الصحة بالشرقية، أنه قد أعطى تعليمات لمديريات الصحة بجميع المراكز بمنع الإجازات والعمل داخل المستشفيات حتى يوم الجمعة لجميع الأطباء والممرضات والإداريين على أن يمنح كل العاملين القائمين بالأعمال الإضافية بتعويض مادى مناسب، وذلك تحسباً لاستقبال مرضى مشتبه بإصابتهم بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير أو أنفلونزا الطيور، وبذلك فإن مديرية الصحة قد أعلنت حالة الطوارئ الكاملة داخل جميع مستشفيات المحافظة. مشيراً إلى أن مديرية الصحة تطبق قرار المستشار يحيى عبد المجيد محافظ الشرقية لعمل مراقبة صحية على كل مواطن شرقاوى عائد من الدول العربية والأجنبية لمدة 10 أيام، تحسباً لحملهم للفيروس المسبب لمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير، وكذلك الطيور، وقال كل مواطن عائد عليه أن يخضع للفحوصات الطبية لمدة عشرة أيام للتأكد تماماً من خلوه من فيروس"H1N1" فى جميع أيام الأسبوع وبدون انقطاع أو إجازات.
