إلي 1803 حجاج حتي أمس بينهم 608 "بمكة" و1194 "بالمدينة المنورة" و529 "بجدة". To 1803 pilgrims until yesterday, including 608 "Mecca" and 1194 "Medina" and 529 "Jeddah".
قال د.يسري إن عدد الحالات التي تم حجزها بالمستشفيات السعودية أمس 16 حالة ليرتفع عدد الحالات التي تم دخولها المستشفيات منذ بدء موسم الحج حتي الآن إلي 44 حالة تم علاج معظمها وتتواجد 14 حالة فقط 11 منهم في مستشفيات مكة وثلاث حالات بالمدينة. The mohp only shows a portion of the total deaths which have been reported publicly to date,this is most likely due to the Eid holiday.We will have to wait a day or so to see what the official number is. none have been reported as flu or virus related publicly that i can find.

The Council of Ministers held its 101st meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Nazif, the Prime Minister, to discuss the following topics:


First: Internal Affairs:


1. On behalf of the Council of Ministers, the Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif, congratulated the President of the Republic and the people of Egypt, and to the Governments and peoples of the Islamic world on the occasion of the new Hijri year.


2. Dr. Hani Helal, Minister of Higher Education presented a report on this years Pilgrimage season, which included the following points:
· The official mission succeeded in undertaking its role in full coordination.

· The fruitful cooperation between the ministries concerned, contributed in the success of the Pilgrimage season, especially the ministries of interior, civil aviation, health, media.

· The increased number of pilgrims in an unprecedented way led to overcrowding, which was a feature of this season pilgrimage.

· The number of reported deaths was 105, and the medical mission provided health care to 34000 pilgrims.
· The age structure of this years pilgrims, was a clear challenge in light of the increasing numbers of older people, and the mission exerted trenedous efforts to facilitate for them performing the rituals.
