أكد د.عبدالعظيم وزير محافظ القاهرة أنه لا تردد أبداً في إغلاق أي مدرسة أو فصل فوراً في حالة ظهور إصابات بأنفلونزا الخنازير لأن صحة التلاميذ والمواطنين فوق كل شيء.​

this article below is from yesterday, i know of two schools both close to my home which have been closed completely do to flu related issues.

whats below indicates they only plan on closing the specific class which had direct close contact with and infected person.

أصدر الدكتور عبد العظيم وزير، محافظ القاهرة، قراراً بإغلاق 5 فصول بمدارس "سانت فاتيما" و"بنات الزمالك" و"ابن خلدون" و"السادات الابتدائية" ومعهد "الخازندار الأزهرى" لمدة 15 يوماً، بعد ظهور حالة مصابة بأنفلونزا الخنازير داخل كل فصل من الفصول التى تقرر إغلاقها.

وأمر الدكتور عبد العظيم وزير بنقل الطلاب المصابين إلى مستشفى حميات العباسية لتلقى العلاج، فى حين قررت مديرية الصحة بالمحافظة إخضاع طلاب ومعلمى الفصول الخمسة للكشف الطبى بمنازلهم للتأكد من خلوهم من فيروس أنفلونزا الخنازير.

وأوضح عبد الفتاح جادو، وكيل مديرية التربية والتعليم بالقاهرة، أن الحالات الإيجابية التى ظهرت اليوم بمدارس القاهرة هى لطالب يبلغ من العمر 14 بالصف الثالث الاعدادى بمدرسة "سانت فاتيما" والحالة الثانية لطالبة تبلغ من العمر 9 سنوات بالصف الثالث الابتدائى بمدرسة "الزمالك الإعدادية الثانوية بنات" بالزمالك والحالة الثالثة لطالب يبلغ من العمر 16 عاما بالصف الثالث الثانوى بمدرسة "ابن خلدون " بحلمية الزيتون، والحالة الرابعة لطالب يبلغ من العمر 12 عاما بالصف الثانى الإعدادى بمعهد "الخازندار الأزهرى" والحالة الخامسة لطالب يبلغ من العمر 6 سنوات بالصف الأول الابتدائى بمدرسة "السادات الابتدائية".
