قرر المهندس سامى عمارة محافظ المنوفية، غلق فصل مدرسى بمدرسة "زاوية جروان" الابتدائية لمدة 15 يوماً بعد ثبوت إصابة طالب ويدعى شريف محمد جعفر بالصف الثالث الابتدائى بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير.
وأمر المحافظ بتشكيل لجنة من الأطباء والتمريض لمتابعة طلاب وطالبات المدرسة وتطهيرها خلال مدة الغلق.
وأكد د.هشام عطا وكيل وزارة الصحة بالمنوفية، أن المعامل المركزية لوزارة الصحة أثبتت إيجابية عينة الطالب المعزول بتاريخ 7/11/2009 بمستشفى الباجور المركزية وتم اتخاذ الإجراءات الطبية تجاهه.
