أعلن الدكتور شريف حمودة وكيل وزارة الصحة بالغربية، عن وفاة حالتين جديدتين داخل مستشفى الصدر بالمحلة، وذلك بعد إصابتهم بمرض أنفلونزا الخنازير، وهما "وفاء عبد اللطيف درويش" (30 سنة)، حيث تم تحويلها من مستشفى سمنود العام إلى مستشفى صدر المحلة بعد تدهور حالتها الصحية و"أحمد ماهر المغازى" (39 سنة) مقيم بقرية طرينة مركز المحلة. وأكد وكيل وزارة الصحة بالغربية، أنه تم احتجاز 7 حالات إيجابية داخل مستشفيات صدر وحميات المحلة والمنشاوى العام وسمنود المركزى بعد أن أوضحت نتيجة العينات الخاصة بهم إصابتهم بالمرض، حيث تم عزلهم ووضع المخالطين لهم تحت المراقبة الطبية.
