For the first time in Ismailia, a woman was detained in a hospital on suspicion of fever infected with avian flu, with no preservation of the disease.

وقال مصدر طبى مسئول، إن السيدة المحتجزة تدعى نفيسة عبد الباسط (50 سنة)، تقيم فى منطقة الشهيد خيرى بقرية أبو خليفة مركز القنطرة غرب ومربية دواجن منزلية، بعد أن ظهرت أعراض المرض عليها.​

قال الدكتور جودة راشد مدير عام مستشفى الحميات بالإسماعيلية، إن السيدة التى تم احتجازها بالمستشفى للاشتباه فى إصابتها بمرض أنفلونزا الطيور تبين بعد إجراء التحاليل سلبية العينات للمرض، وأنها تعانى من التهاب رئوى وما زالت فى المستشفى، وكانت نفيسة عبد الباسط (50 سنة) تقيم فى منطقة الشهيد خيرى بقرية أبو خليفة مركز القنطرة غرب ومربية دواجن منزلية ظهرت أعراض المرض عليها وتم إجراء الكشف الطبى وأحيلت إلى مستشفى الحميات.

من جانبه قال وكيل وزارة الصحة بالإسماعيلية الدكتور محمد الشرقاوى، إنه تم الاطمئنان بعد الفحص من خلو الحالة من المرض ومعاناتها من التهاب رئوى، مشيراً إلى أن الإسماعيلية ما تزال خالية من أنفلونزا الطيور حتى الآن.
