Supreme Committee for the fight against bird flu, held yesterday, a meeting chaired by Engineer Ibrahim Mahlab the Prime Minister, and the presence of the ministers of health, agriculture, environment, local development, and a number of conservatives, participated in the meeting a delegation from the International Joint Mission, to provide technical support in the field of bird flu .
Said Dr. Hossam Abdul Ghaffar, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health, the Health Minister Dr. Adel infection request two months ago from the World Health Organization, joint mission of WHO experts, the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta in the United States, and experts Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and Office of International Epidemiology and Animal Health, to provide technical support to curb bird flu.

He also warned in a statement ?Sunrise? the increasing death rates among people with adults, which was 36%, to reach global mortality rates in excess of 60%, indicating that Egypt is the only country in the world that recorded the significant increase in cases, which is require universal attention.
He added that the injury 3 cases in one family beats the alarm to the increasing likelihood of a mutation of the virus with increasing incidence, so that it is capable of transmission of the virus among humans as seasonal flu.
He stressed that there was a case of bird flu in Egypt every two days, a reference reason is clear increase in injuries to the growing domestic rearing of birds and reliable source of income, many without adequate oversight or vaccinations.
For his part, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, d. Salah al-Hilal, that there is a planned visit in the coming days, from high-level international delegation to Egypt, to find out the latest developments in the fight against bird flu, in the framework of technical cooperation between the General Authority for Veterinary Services and relevant international organizations.
