أعلن محمود الدشناوى (محامى) عن تأسيس "اللجنة الشعبية للحماية من أنفلونزا الخنازير"، ومقرها حلوان، وهى تضم أطباء ومهندسين ومحامين وصحفيين ومعلمين، وتهدف إلى توعية المواطنين. Mahmoud Aldhnaoy (lawyer) on the establishment of "the People's Committee for the Protection of swine flu", which is based in Helwan, which included doctors, engineers, lawyers, journalists, teachers, and aims to raise the awareness of citizens.
وتم الاتفاق على تشكيل ثلاث لجان فرعية هى: "صحية وتوعية ومتطوعين". It was agreed to set up three sub-committees are: "health and awareness-raising and volunteers." وتطالب اللجنة بإغلاق جميع حظائر الخنازير وإعدام كل الخنازير الموجودة فى الجمهورية وليس ذبحها، مع تعويض أصحاب تلك المزارع فورا عن خسائرهم. The Committee calls upon the closing of all pig farms and culling all pigs located in the republic and not to slaughter, with compensation to owners of these farms for their losses immediately.
أيضا طالبت اللجنة فى بيان لها على "الفيس بوك" بتشكيل لجنة من وزارة الصحة والبيئة لفحص كل المزارع وأصحابها والاطمئنان عليها وعلى ذويها، إضافة إلى إلغاء القرار الخاص بنقل مزارع الخنازير إلى مدينة 15 مايو بمحافظة حلوان. The Committee also called in a statement on the "Elvis-bok," the formation of a committee of the Ministry of Health and Environment to examine all the farms and their owners and confidence and to their relatives, in addition to the cancellation of the resolution on the transfer of pig farms to the city May 15, Helwan governorate.
كما طالبت اللجنة بتشكيل لجنة خاصة بالتوعية العامة للحماية من المرض، على أن يتم تشكيل حملة إعلامية كبيرة للتحذير من خطورة المرض وتوعية المواطنين به، ومنع استيراد مشتقات اللحوم إلا بعد إجراء الكشف الصحى عليها. وأكد بيان اللجنة ضرورة إنشاء خط ساخن لتلقى استفسارات المواطنين ووضع خطة عاجلة لحل الأزمة فى حالة الإصابة بالوباء. He stressed the need to establish a hotline for inquiries of citizens and the development of an urgent plan to resolve the crisis in the event of injury epidemic.
